| OpenFILER provides an automatic method of converting your SmartFILER database into a sequential file that can be read by SmartWriter, SmartBasic, or brought into the CP/M environment through the CP/M ADAM.COM utility. Once in the CP / M environment the file can be directly read by dBASE, Video Display Editor, Word Star, or other application programs. The file produced by OpenFILER can even be used to take your SmartFILER database out of the ADAM environment, via modem or disk conversion, and bring it into another computer or operating system. Since OpenFILER filters out non-ASCII characters that may be present, the resulting converted file does not need to be filtered. |

OpenFILER3 will read a SmartFILER database and convert it into a sequential file by rewriting the records onto a new disk/DDP. OpenFILER3 will recover the complete record, including the "TEXT" field. OpenFILEA3 provides all of the features of OpenFILER2a, with the addition of the following: Full recovery of the TEXT field, Temporary delete and undelete of individual records, convert only a range of records, Undelete and convert a range of records, replacement of ''text field" commas (for use with BASIC or dBASE) and more. Included with the program is a comprehensive documentation file that will guide one through the use of OpenFILER as well as suggest uses for the resulting file. OpenFILER3 requires SmartBASIC V1.0 and two drives. |

| OpenRECIPE will read a Recipe file create by Coleco's RECIPE FILER and Convert it into a sequential file by rewriting the records onto a new disk/DDP. The program will allow the - selective conversion of individual records and/or a range of records. The converted file may be edited by a word processor, transmitted via modem, or be brought into the CP/M environment. Included with the program is a comprehensive documentation file that will guide the user through the use of the program. Requires SmartBASIC Vq.O and two drives. |
