Your HEAD TO HEAD FOOTBALL™ team takes the field on the ColecoVision™ for a hard-hitting gridiron showdown. Choose your play — RUN, PASS, or KICK — then snap the ball and outmaneuver the computer defense.

Your ball carrier charges across the field while blockers battle defenders one-on-one. Thread your way through the defense to cross the goal line for a touchdown! Or launch a pass downfield to your receiver — but watch out for interceptions! When the clock is ticking and you need points, try a field goal kick.

Keep your eye on the game clock. Press the Display button to check your stats: DOWN, YARDS TO GO, and FIELD POSITION. A second press shows the score and TIME REMAINING. Can you drive the length of the field and outscore the computer?

BEHIND THE SCENES

Face to Face Football is a ColecoVision recreation of Coleco's original Head to Head Football handheld electronic game from 1980. The original handheld featured two sets of controls on opposite ends of the unit, allowing two players to compete face-to-face — hence the name.

Coleco's Head to Head line was a groundbreaking series of handheld electronic sports games that used LED blips on a small screen to simulate athletic competition. Simple but wildly addictive, these handhelds were among the best-selling toys of the early 1980s and helped fund the development of the ColecoVision console itself.

This version brings that same pick-up-and-play spirit to the ColecoVision with full graphical players, animated action, and sound effects while staying true to the original's gameplay philosophy of quick, strategic sports action.
